Countess Octavia, fnl's doom metal specialist, returns for another round. and this one's a real shocker of a record. this minialbum (her first, at that) sees the guitar virtuoso ascend to a new standard of rock.

here the CNCT line of work focuses its readily pointed lens towards rural southern USA life on one of the enduring mysteries of the human experience: what's the next life like? it's a very mortal work, its themes of existential dread and old school extreme evangelicalism further hammered in by the bass shredding both terse and maximal, performed by Octavia herself. and believe me that I'm not hyperbolizing the advertisement copy here: she's OUTDONE herself. you've heard of going up to 11? she's gone up to the 11 of 11, and ever further. her performance on her 5 string bass is absolutely FREAKISH. if you're a fan of Lightning Bolt's Wonderful Rainbow, buckle your seatbelts, because this album fills a similar niche at even noisier, more chromatic levels.

anyways I hate to cut this description short but we're over schedule and I gotta get this thing shipped out sooner rather than later. point is, it's an absolutely POTENT groove metal record. like I said, a real shocker. enjoy
